Consistently reliable service

This was my third time using Snowrental, and they're always consistent. I booked 'skis all mountain' this time, just like last year. The process hasn't really changed, which is good – it's still simple to reserve online. The equipment at the partner shop was, again, exactly what I expected and in good shape. I've used them for different resorts too, and the local shops are always prepared. It's why I keep coming back; no surprises, just dependable ski rental.

Easy ski rental

Needed skis for my vacation, so I went with Snowrental. Got a 'pack ski débutant'. Website was super easy to use, found what I needed in like 5 minutes. Picked it up at the shop, no fuss. Skis were good for learning, everything worked out fine. Will use them again next year for sure.

Good experience overall

I booked a 'pack ski intermédiaire' for my trip to Les Arcs. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, I just picked my dates and preferred shop. I received a confirmation email almost immediately. When I got to the shop, the equipment was ready, and the staff helped me get fitted quickly. The skis themselves were in good condition, no major scuffs or issues, and they performed well on the slopes. I had a question about changing my boots mid-week and used their online chat. The response was quick, within an hour, and they confirmed it was possible at the shop with no extra charge. Pick-up and drop-off were both smooth, saving time compared to renting on arrival without a reservation.

Quick, good value

Rented 'chaussures de ski'. Website was fast. Got a decent price. Picked up the boots without any problems. They fit well. Happy with the rental.

Decent rental, small hiccup

I rented a 'location de snowboard' for a week. The online booking was straightforward, and the price was competitive, especially with the early booking discount. When I went to pick up the board, it was ready, but the bindings needed a bit of adjustment from the shop staff, which took an extra five minutes. Not a huge deal, but it could have been pre-set better based on my profile. The snowboard itself rode well for the week. Drop-off was quick. Overall a good experience, just a minor point on the initial setup.

thinking of using a promo code I found online. do you enter it when you first pick your dates or at the very end when you pay?

A Alex C. 1 week ago
It's at the very end, right before you finalize payment. There's a box for it.

A Andrew Davis 1 week ago
Yeah, you add it at checkout. Just make sure you've entered all your other info first, then apply the code.

Are their 'all mountain' skis actually good for different conditions? Or should I just stick to piste skis if I'm mostly on groomed runs?

S Susan Martin 2 weeks ago
Their all-mountain stuff is usually pretty decent. If you might hit some slush or a bit of fresh snow, it's a good choice. For just groomed, piste skis are fine.

I'd go all-mountain if there's any chance you'll venture off piste or if the snow conditions are variable. It gives you more flexibility. Their gear is usually current season models too.

Has anyone used one of their group discounts? We've got about 8 people going, wondering if it's actually a decent saving or just a small percentage.

G Grace Carter 3 weeks ago
I think it depends on the number of people and how early you book. I got like 15% off for a group of 6, which was pretty good.

O Olivia Gomez 3 weeks ago
My crew got a solid deal last year, like 20% for 10 people. Definitely worth checking if you have a big enough group. They seem to have better discounts for larger numbers.

Hey, I'm looking at renting skis for a trip to Breckenridge in late March. How long does it usually take to get everything confirmed and ready for pickup?

J Jeff Johnson 1 month ago
It's pretty quick, honestly. You book online, and then you just show up at the shop they partner with in Breckenridge. Your gear's usually waiting.

Yeah, I used them for Aspen last season. Booked like a week before and got the confirmation email right away. Pickup was super smooth, just bring your ID and the booking reference.

Is Snowrental legit? I've never heard of them before, usually use Intersport. Just wondering if this is a real company or some kind of scam.

M Matt W. 2 weeks ago
Totally legit. They're big in Europe. Used them a bunch of times in France and Italy. No issues ever.

P Patricia Brown 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they've been around for ages, like since 2004 or something. They partner with local shops, so you're actually picking up from a regular ski shop, not some pop-up.

What if I book skis and then realize they're too long or just not right for me after a day? Can I swap them out at the local shop?

L Laura Jackson 2 days ago
Yes, you usually can. I did that once. Just go back to the shop you picked them up from and explain. They're usually pretty accommodating.

L Leah Wright 2 days ago
I swapped boots mid-week without a problem. As long as they have something in stock, the partner shops are usually cool with it. It's part of the rental service.

How do these guys compare to Skiset? Skiset usually has a lot of shops, just wondering about pricing or gear quality difference.

L Laura Moore 3 weeks ago
They're pretty similar in terms of setup, partnering with local shops. I find Snowrental can sometimes be a bit cheaper, especially with early bird deals.
3
N Nick Adams 2 weeks ago
Gear quality is usually comparable, both use recent models. I've seen Snowrental have better discounts during off-peak times or for certain resorts where Skiset is more expensive.

Can I pay with American Express? Or is it just Visa/Mastercard type cards?

R Ryan White 3 weeks ago
Pretty sure they take Amex. I've used it before, I think.
3
B Betty 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they accept most major credit cards including Amex. You'll see all the accepted logos on the payment page.
